The care for catching COVID-19 requires a focus on relieving the symptoms, such as taking medication for a fever, staying hydrated, and being aware of signs that may indicate complications from the infection.

The care for a viral fever requires medication for the fever that has a viral origin, along with staying hydrated and resting. It also requires being aware of signs that may indicate a bacterial infection.

Infectious disease care is a broad category that deals with identifying and treating any disease that has a bacterial, viral, fungal, or parasitic origin.

The care for lower and upper respiratory tract infections deals with a range of different issues that affect the lungs and airways. This includes a cold, sinus infection, bronchitis, or pneumonia. Antibiotics or antivirals may be used for these.
