After a Short Service Commission in the Army, Dr Shailaja Parthasarathy finished her MD in Radiodiagnosis in 2003, and thereafter has worked in the field of radiology in Cochin, Delhi, Port Blair and Bangalore. Her special interests are in Ultrasound, CT scans and Xrays, apart from competence in MRI. She likes to approach radiological services with a holistic view of the patient's health conditions.She has also worked as Asst Professor in ANIIMS, Port Blair.
She has done a Primary training in Hyperbaric Medicine from National Baromedical Services Inc, Columbia, USA because of her interest in recreational scuba diving.
In her leisure time, she also enjoys long-distance cycling, running, and gardening.
Life member of Indian Radiology and Imaging Association ( IRIA), and Indian Medical Association ( IMA)
