Renal Transplant
Renal transplant or Kidney Transplant is a surgical procedure where a healthy Kidney from a living or deceased donor is placed into the patient whose kidneys no longer function properly. This stage is called as End Stage Kidney Failure. Prior to taking up this procedure, the patient is subjected to a number of medical tests, to ascertain their fitness levels to take up the surgery. These include blood tests, a thorough physical exam and certain other imaging tests like MRI and X-Ray. Haemodialysis

Plasmapheresis
This is a procedure is suggested to patients who are very sick with some specific kidney diseases. Plasmapheresis is performed in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital under careful observation. In this procedure, large quantities of plasma are removed from a patient and replaced with fresh frozen plasma, albumin or saline. This procedure makes use of a plasma filter. Haemodialysis machines with the blood pump are also used during this procedure.
