In an <strong>interstitial ectopic pregnancy<\/strong>, the embryo implants in the <strong>interstitial portion of the fallopian tube<\/strong>, the section that passes through the muscular wall of the uterus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because this part of the uterus can stretch, the pregnancy may grow larger before rupturing. She underwent <strong>laparoscopic wedge resection<\/strong> with removal of the affected tube. Remarkably, she was discharged within 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This case highlights the <strong>life-saving importance of early diagnosis<\/strong>.
