Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is it :<\/strong><br>Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is a surgical procedure used to treat <strong>severe coronary artery disease<\/strong>, where the arteries supplying blood to the heart become narrowed or blocked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How it works:<\/strong><br>During CABG, a healthy blood vessel from another part of the body\u2014usually the leg, arm, or chest\u2014is grafted onto the blocked coronary artery, creating a new pathway for blood flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improves blood supply to the heart<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relieves chest pain (angina)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduces the risk of heart attack<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>CABG is usually recommended when medications or angioplasty are insufficient to manage coronary artery disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is it :<\/strong><br>Aortic valve replacement is a surgery to treat a diseased or damaged aortic valve, which controls blood flow from the heart\u2019s left ventricle to the aorta and the rest of the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why it\u2019s needed:<\/strong><br>This procedure is necessary when the valve is <strong>narrowed (aortic stenosis)<\/strong> or <strong>leaky (aortic regurgitation)<\/strong>, causing symptoms such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chest pain<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shortness of breath<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fatigue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Risk of heart failure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Procedure:<\/strong><br><br>The damaged valve is replaced with either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mechanical valve<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Biological valve<\/strong> (from animal tissue)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AVR can be performed through <strong>traditional open-heart surgery<\/strong> or a <strong>less invasive method called transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)<\/strong>, depending on the patient\u2019s health and risk profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3.
