Dr. Anand Devraj is a highly skilled Surgical Gastroenterologist and HPB Surgeon with extensive experience in hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB), luminal, colorectal, and complex hernia surgeries. He is proficient in minimally invasive techniques, including advanced laparoscopy and robotic-assisted surgery, and is deeply committed to providing precision-based, patient-centered surgical care.
He has a strong clinical interest in robotic GI and HPB surgery, gastrointestinal oncology, and liver transplantation. His work is defined by a meticulous approach, cutting-edge technique, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through safe and effective surgery.
Dr. Anand currently serves as a Surgical Gastroenterologist at Prakriya Hospitals, Bangalore, where he manages a wide range of complex GI, colorectal, and HPB conditions using open, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques.
He previously worked as part of the Robotic Surgical Team at Apollo Proton Cancer Centre, Chennai, where he was actively involved in robotic surgeries for upper GI, colorectal, and HPB malignancies. He was also a member of the renowned Apollo Rectal Cancer (ARC) Program, contributing to high-volume rectal cancer surgeries with excellent oncologic outcomes.
Dr. Anand completed his DrNB training in Surgical Gastroenterology and Liver Transplantation at Sakra World Hospital, Bangalore, where he gained significant experience in performing high-end gastrointestinal surgeries and participated in both cadaveric and living donor liver transplants.
He further enhanced his liver transplant expertise through a dedicated observership at the Centre for Liver and Biliary Sciences (CLBS), Max Hospital, Delhi, where he was exposed to the complete spectrum of liver transplant care and surgical techniques.
Earlier in his career, he served as Assistant Professor in General Surgery at Government Medical College, Miraj, where he was also trained during his general surgery residency.
